I have put together these five photos from an ATV trip I took here in St. George. The first three were taken on my sony a4000 camera 0.25 m lens and The last two were taken on my iPhone 6s camera, after my camera died on our trip back. 

This first photo is an establish shot that displays the vast terrain of ombre blue skies and vibrant rock.

 This next photo is the medium shot and gives context to the first by showing the vehicles that enabled us to reach our destination. I like that I captured movement in my photo through the flags.

In this shot I tried to capture subject interaction with a closer view of the vehicle, the doors wide open, and Daniel getting inside.

 This photo is as close as I get to the subject as he is placed right in the middle of the terrain. 


This last photo I just added because it gives another view of the vehicle, the setting, and the subject. Not to mention the awesome sun setting in the background.

For this assignment my mind immediately went to flowers because many of them are so small and delicate yet have so many pretty details. I used a one bulb lamp for my lighting so it was a little challenging for me and took a while to play with and just my camera to get these photos. My favorite is of the single rose. Illustration

Coming up with an idea for the Illustration assignment was challenging because when theres an issue that bothers me I am really passionate about it and so I have found it hard to pick an issue and illustrate it through just a few photos. Initially I had thought I wanted to do something about domestic abuse victims and shooting one that is far from the stereotypical image of what this looks like. Due to lack of resources I transitioned away from that idea and that night attended a guest speaker in the Eccles Fine Arts Center. This is where I very unexpectedly found my topic for my Illustration. Jessica Cox was born without arms. More significantly, she is a certified scuba diver, holds two blackbelts in martial arts, and is the very first person to become a certified pilot without arms.
